Novice Drivers
Are you a complete beginner and feel a little nervous?
Do not worry. When you first start to learn to drive , you will be taught in accordence to the recommended syllabus as laid out by the Driving Standards Agency.

Total beginners are advised to start with a 2 hour lesson. This is because on your first lesson you will be introduced to your tuition vehicle and explained in great detail (Controls Lesson) about all the functions of the car, and how to position yourself and make all necessary adjustments.
Then you will do a "Dry Run" or rehearsal and learn how to move away and stop. The initial controls lesson can take between 30 mins to an hour depending on your current understanding on cars and driving.

For the first few lessons you will be driven to very quiet roads where you will be free to get used to the car and build up your confidence without endagering yourself or other road users.
Using the recommended syllabus, as soon as your control of the vehicle improves,  you will then be introduced to the bigger and more buisier roads.
You will be taught to the speed of your ability until you reach test standard.
